An old carpentry in the Gràcia was the place chosen by Toni and Encarna in 1986 to unleash your idea and create Cal Boter, a family restaurant with traditional food.
They began offering toasted, grilled vegetables and meat made in a natural charcoal grill. The butcher family tradition has enabled them to offer a good selection of fresh meat and quality , originating from the slaughter and poultry that are in the market of Sant Andreu. The menu includes sausages, filet of beef, lamb, veal, quail, pork or rabbit feet among others.
The original premises soon became too small to accommodate customers; the “friends” as Toni thought. The restaurant doubled in size with a cozy lounge that allows lunches or dinners for groups. As local, the letter also expanded with dishes characterized by its freshness. Without sacrificing the classic pears in wine, garlic soup, roasted meat or other delicious dishes like included cod “Grata Colloni” gratin with alioli-, the – snails “llauna” or spicy, tasty potatoes stuffed ceps and foie cream , selection of gazpacho (seasonal), the pig’s feet with shrimp or meatballs with cuttlefish …
With the expansion of the letter also begin to offer a varied menu of noon, well-rounded and affordable. You can choose between top fives, four seconds and six desserts, all for just over 10 €.
Every day there is a classic dish in selecting first, as fideuá Tuesdays, black rice on Thursdays or Fridays cannelloni.
Today, with the new generation family embarked on Cal Boter, expand their offering daily services “Esmorzars of Forquilla” . Fork breakfast to take strong forces at midmorning, including dishes such as tripe with chickpeas, pork feet or different types of cod. A good choice for a day of walking or cycling to know Barcelona and the mythical Vila de Gràcia.
The closeness of the team that makes Cal Boter and the freshness of the foods used in their dishes, are the tools used for this cozy family restaurant to offer an interesting selection of Catalan cuisine.
